Sanford man arrested on drug trafficking charges


SANFORD, Maine

(NEWS CENTER) -- A Sanford man was arrested on charges of drug trafficking Wednesday.

33-year-old Adam Hill was booked on charges of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.

Police stopped Hill on Cheney Street in Springvale after seeing a suspicious vehicle. Police determined Hill did not have a valid driver's license and arrested him for Operating after Suspension.

After searching Hill at the Sanford Police Department, police found Hill to be in possession of 17 grams of heroin and $2400 cash.

Hill was on conditions of release for a prior criminal offense, so bail was not set. He is expected to appear in court on Friday.

Hill was taken to the York County Jail.


Sanford man arrested for terrorizing and drug trafficking


YORK COUNTY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Sanford Police arrested a man on charges of terrorizing and aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs on Monday.

35-year-old Jesse Roy, of Sanford, was arrested on charges of Terrorizing with the use of a dangerous weapon and Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs.

Police had been seeking Roy since Friday, stemming from an incident involving a firearm that took place at his residence. A warrant of arrest was obtained by police on Friday for the charge of Terrorizing with the use of a dangerous weapon. Detectives from the Sanford Police Department conducted surveillance on the residence and observed Mr. Roy exit his residence around 8 p.m. Monday night and get into a vehicle. Patrol officers were quickly in position and performed a felony traffic stop and arrested Mr. Roy without incident; he was alone in the vehicle.
