Rescue members delivered the last 4 shopping carts full of bags of coats and snow suits on December 31st, 2010 to the Sanford Hannaford.

Lebanon Rescue had one of the largest single group donations of coats and snow suits for this years coats for kids program. We brought nearly 50 large  full of 857 coats and snow suits!! Lebanon has collected over 1,500 coats in the past few years! Great job Lebanon!

Chief Samantha Cole would like to thank Town Librarian Jennifer Griffin and Recreation Director Jess Brewington who gathered many bags of coats and snow suits from the clothing pantry. Chief Cole would also like to thank the staff at Train's Quick Stop, Lee's Floral Garden and the Town Hall for helping as drop off locations.

Assistant Chief Jason Cole has coordinated this event for the past 4 years. The town has collected over 1,500 coats to help cold children and young adults through the program.

Chief Cole would like to thank all of the residents who have donated already and made the program so successful.

The department was trying to beat their goal of 404 coats and beat it in about the first month of collecting the coats!

The Selectmen would like to thank all of the rescue volunteers for this effort and it was very nice to see Lebanon spotlighted on TV as the great, very generous community we are!

"We are so proud of the response of the community to help kids and adults who do not have coats, the donations this year were incredible. There were a lot of brand new coats and a lot of gently used coats that will help the kids stay warm this winter. A lot of the people left little thank you notes with the coats, and its nice to see the community pull together and help each other out." Chief Samantha Cole added.

The department collects Coats in November and December to help with the Annual Campaign, which is coordinated by WCSH6.
