ALFRED, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- State police are looking for the public's help in identifying the driver in a hit-and-run accident in Alfred early Saturday morning.
Police officials dispatch received a call about the crash on Kennebunk Road in Alfred at approximately 2:45 Saturday morning.
Results of the early investigation indicate a group of young adults were partying at approximately one mile in on the dirt portion of the road. 21-year-old John Caramihalis was struck by an unidentified vehicle.
Police said Caramihalis was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.
State Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to please call Det. Lauren Edstrom or Trooper Matthew Williams at 657-3030.
