News

SANFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Sanford Police said 40-year-old Christopher Gonyer was arrested without incident in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Monday.

Sanford Detective Sergeant Matthew Jones said the department determined Gonyer was working flooring job in Cambridge. The Cambridge Police Department was briefed on the case and took Gonyer into custody at approximately 3:15 p.m. Monday.

Cambridge Police say will be facing Massachusetts charges because he has heroin in his possession at the time of the arrest.

Sanford police believe Gonyer would not have turned himself in necessitating Monday's arrest.
