NH man charged in Berwick Oxy bust | News
BERWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man from Rochester, New Hampshire has been charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs after arriving at the scene of what police call a proposed sale.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says it learned that Jack Haycock, 39, was going to meet a prospective Oxycodone buyer in Berwick on Tuesday. When he showed up, MDEA agents and Berwick Police took Haycock into custody.
Investigators say he was carrying $18,000 in cash and 200 Oxycodone tablets worth $6,000.
Haycock has a previous drug conviction in New Hampshire, so he was charged with aggravated trafficking in Maine.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash. Haycock is scheduled to be in court on September 7.
