York County Senior College Presents Lecture Series

Saco/Sanford, ME, December, 2010:  Whether it's history, wildlife, energy, law or the Middle East, York County Senior College has something of interest in its monthly 2011 Winter Lecture Series.  The series features morning and afternoon speakers for a full day of learning.  Morning lectures take place from 9:30-11:30, followed by lunch and a second lecture, held from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m..

KIDS' CLUB Holiday Canned Food Drive

Willard School’s KIDS’ CLUB Afterschool Program held a Holiday Canned Food DriveWith a twist.
We collected canned food for the York County Food Rescue from November 23rd - December 14th.
On Saturday, December 18th KIDS’ CLUB will create a sculpture with the cans in Memorial Gym Cafeteria and then donate their creation to York County Food Rescue. Creation begins at 9:00 am.

Berwick Academy Scholarship Programs

MASAD #60 Craft Fair

MSAD 60 will have a District Craft Fair on November 20th from 9-3 at Noble High School, Route 9 N. Berwick, ME. Come and see all the homemade crafts. There will be decorative paintings, handbags, photos, jewelry, candles, quilts, children items, lots of holiday decorations, candies, doll clothes, baked goods and more. Snack items and other goodies will be available all day. Chili, chowder, hot dogs and more will be available after 10:30am. There will be plenty of room to park!

5th Grade Online Auction

Lebanon Schools fifth grade class is once again having its annual online auction to benefit the class going to Ferry Beach Ecology School. The actual auction will be held Sunday, November 28 - Saturday, December 4th.

Children's Flu Clinic

On Saturday, Nov. 13 MSAD 60 is offering a free flu clinic for children only. Children ages 3 to 18 are welcome. The clinic will be held at the Noble High School Health Center at Noble High School. from 8 a.m. to noon. The flu clinic is free but donations are welcome and will benefit the health center.

Veteran's Day Celebration

On November 5, 2010, Marshwood Middle School will commemorate its’

tenth annual Veteran’s Day Celebration.  The school wide assembly, which starts

at 9:00 a.m., features various tributes from our students and faculty to our local

veterans.  Last year over 200 veterans attended the celebration.  Several veterans

are from local American Legion and VFW posts. Many veterans invited  are

relatives and friends  of Marshwood students who have served our country past

and present.

 Local dignitaries including town officials and selectmen, local politicians,

state representatives, school board members, and members of the South

Berwick, Eliot, Kittery and Berwick police, fire and emergency departments also

attend the celebration to honor our veterans. 

 All guests form a reception line at 8:30 a.m.
