Spring Fling Dance at Nasson Community Center

There will be a "Spring Fling" dance in the gym of the Nasson Community Center, Saturday night, April 9 from 8:00 - 11:00pm.  Music will be provided by the ever-popular D.J. Dick Fredette playing music of the '50s- '70s.  The cost is $10.00 per person.  Cash bar, raffles as well as free popcorn supplied by the Sanford Lions club.

Why not Join Us for a celebratory End of Winter Tree Identification walk up Mt. Agamenticus?  Next Saturday, March 19th 2011 at 10:00am

Leafless But Far From Lifeless!  Dig out your hand lens if you have one and join Dendrologist Eileen Willard for a winter stroll up Mt. Agamenticus and a close examination of trees. Eileen will offer many methods for identifying tree species by looking at bark, buds, and growth habits.

PeoplesChoice Credit Union Supports Charitable Partner Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community at Maine Red Claws Game

The Portland Expo was the backdrop for PeoplesChoice Credit Union Night at the Maine Red Claws D-League basketball game on Friday, January 28th. In keeping with PeoplesChoice ongoing goal of community involvement, over $500 was raised through a 50/50 raffle for participating charitable partner, Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community (MCWWC).

“It’s always been an important mission for us to give back to the communities where our members work and live,” says PeoplesChoice Vice President Eric Green.  “Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community is a fantastic, well-deserving organization.” He adds.

Jointly, Eric Green and MCWWC Director Carolyn May delivered the game ball to center court.
